Discover the requirements and steps to follow to obtain the status and its benefits!
SNEE Eligibility Conditions
- Hold a Baccalaureate or equivalent
- Have a formalized project idea
If I am a student:
If I am a student, I can benefit from the Student-Entrepreneur National Status (SNEE) on my own, provided that I meet the eligibility criteria (i.e., holding a Baccalaureate or equivalent and having a formalized project idea).
If I am a recent graduate:
If I am a recent graduate, I must register for the Student-Entrepreneur Diploma (D2E) to benefit from the National Student-Entrepreneur Status (SNEE) after approval by the engagement committee. The D2E offers tailored support and allows me to retain student status and access to scholarships (for those who are eligible).
The steps to follow to apply
Step 1:
Apply online
Go to the national platform to submit your application.
Step 2:
Invitation
You will receive an invitation to attend a engagement committee that will review your application. Three SNEE engagement committees are held each academic year: in June, October, and January.
Step 3: Pitch your project
Based on your motivation, the quality of your entrepreneurial project, and your presentation, you will receive a response by email and on the national platform following the committee. If your application for the status is accepted, your integration into the community of student entrepreneurs and your support will begin!
If you do not receive an invitation to the engagement committee, if the invitation is refused, or if the reason for the refusal is not provided, you can file an appeal via the national platform.
If your application is denied, you have the option to reapply at a future committee by following the procedure sent to you by email.
The issuance of the SNEE & the conditions of assessment
The jury of the engagement committee evaluates the applications based on three criteria:
The candidate’s entrepreneurial motivation.
Example: explain the meaning and reasons behind their approach and project, as well as the connections with their personal and professional goals.
The exploratory steps already taken by the candidate to assess the potential of the proposed project:
Desk research conducted
Contacts made with professionals and/or potential users
Initial drafts of the offer
The candidate’s understanding of the implications of obtaining the status:
Ability to envision themselves as a holder of the National Student-Entrepreneur Status
Adopting a learner’s mindset
Commitment to respect the Student-Entrepreneur charter
